The Docuzon network is protected by firewalls which transfer the traffic securely between computer networks using the Internet. The firewall prevents network intrusion to our state of the art document delivery network.

Docuzon's entire site is maintained in one of the world's most secure facilities, a SAS 70 Type II Data Center.
• Intrusion Detection System
Docuzon uses an intrusion detection system (IDS) that monitors and detects unwanted manipulations to computer systems throughout the Internet. Our intrusion detection system is used to detect many types of malicious network traffic and computer usage that can't be detected by a conventional firewall. This includes network attacks against vulnerable services, data-driven attacks on applications, host-based attacks such as privilege escalation, unauthorized logins, and access to sensitive files, viruses, trojan horses, and worms.
• Enterprise Antivirus Scanning
Docuzon runs antivirus software to protect our network and your documents from viruses. Our enterprise anti-virus scanning consists of computer programs that identify, thwart and eliminate computer viruses and other malicious software. Our antivirus software examines (scans) files to look for viruses and identifies suspicious behavior from any computer program which might indicate infection using data captures and port monitoring.
• 128-bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) Encryption
Docuzon provides 128-bit encryption using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), which is a cryptographic protocol that provides secure communications on the Internet for web browsing, E-mail, and data transfers.

Our service provides safeguards and security measures that enable you to have confidence that your documents will arrive real-time and safely to your intended recipient. Physical access to our servers is protected by secured access using biometric palm scanners and 24x7 facility monitoring.
• Restricted Access to Telecommunication Systems
Docuzon provides tight controls and restricted access to our telecommunications systems. The process begins with an access attempt, in which a user attempts to access our telecommunications network. Access to the Docuzon telecommunications systems is strictly limited to Docuzon-approved system administrators. End users are provided limited access based on their rights to send, receive, and sign documents.

All Docuzon personnel must pass a background check as part of our hiring process.
• Confidentiality
Only you and your recipients have access to the documents you deliver using the Docuzon service. Your documents remain safe and secure while stored on the Docuzon server awaiting pickup.
• Security Audits
Docuzon conducts independent security audits and also passes the security audits of our customers.
• Authentication
Both document senders and recipients are required to authenticate themselves before they are allowed access to the Docuzon network. Document senders select a series of security questions that must be answered correctly by a document recipient before access is granted to the Docuzon system. Docuzon also provides business customers with single sign-on (SSO), using a widely recognized industry standard.
• Audit Trail
Every event is logged, dated, and time-stamped while a document resides on the Docuzon server. The audit trail is maintained and Docuzon customers are able to view recipient events online using Docuzon's online reporting.

The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), also known as the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Financial Services Modernization Act, enacted on November 12, 1999, states that compliance is mandatory, whether a financial institution discloses nonpublic information or not, and there must be a policy in place to protect the information from foreseeable threats in security and data integrity. GLBA regulates the sharing of personal information about individuals who obtain financial products or services from financial institutions. Docuzon provides a safe, secure delivery transport medium for customer compliance with GLBA regulations.
The Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA) is a United States Uniform Act proposed by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws (NCCUSL). UETA has been adopted into the laws of practically every state. Its overarching purpose is to bring into line the differing state laws over such areas as retention of paper records, and the validity of electronic signatures, thereby supporting the validity of electronic contracts as a viable medium of agreement. The Docuzon certified document delivery service provides a secure transmission vehicle to electronically sign documents that satisfies UETA's requirements. Docuzon makes it possible for a document originator sending a document to receive a valid electronic signature from the signer that maintains the same validity and enforceability as manual signatures and paper-based transactions.
The Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN) (Public Law 106-229) is a United States federal law passed by the U.S. Congress to facilitate the use of electronic records and signatures in interstate and foreign commerce by ensuring the validity and legal effect of contracts entered into electronically. This federal law establishes the guidelines for interstate commerce. The general intent of the E-SIGN Act is that a contract or signature “may not be denied legal effect, validity, or enforceability solely because it is in electronic form”. This simple statement provides that electronic signatures and records are just as good as their paper equivalent, and therefore subject to the same legal scrutiny of authenticity that applies to paper documents.
The Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) is a series of regulations issued by the Federal government of the United States that concern the requirements of contractors for selling to the government, the terms under which the government obtains ownership, title, and control of the goods or services purchased, and rules on specifications, payments and conduct and actions regarding solicitation of bids and payment of invoice 4.502 (a). The Federal Government shall use electronic commerce whenever practicable or cost-effective.
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) was enacted by the U.S. Congress in 1996. HIPAA protects health insurance coverage for workers and their families when they change or lose their jobs. HIPAA also requires the establishment of national standards for electronic health care transactions and national identifiers for providers, health insurance plans, and employers. Docuzon takes the steps necessary to implement reasonable administrative safeguards within its own operations and qualified as a HIPAA “business associate”.
